The Sebastian Clambake Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit corporation composed of area public service organizations and supported by our business community in its efforts to have a positive impact of our quality of life. Volunteers from our local community comprise the entire labor force. Each year the member organizations of the Foundation pick one or two local charitable or public-purpose projects to receive the proceeds of the Clambake. The first two Clambakes designated the Boys and Girls Club’s Sebastian Building Fund as the beneficiary, and donated over $83,000 towards the new facility on Main Street. Seniors were the focus for the fundraising in 2005, with proceeds benefiting projects for the Senior Resource Association and By the River Affordable Senior Housing Facility. In 2006, the Sebastian Soccer Association received funds for new soccer fields and the City of Sebastian received funds for improved lighting in Riverview Park.
